LADIES' DAY IN OLD TOWN

Saturday, April 9   Noon to 5pm

quinn Our lives in 1820 were a whole lot different then they are today.  Take a big step back to the very early first days of San Diego at LADIES' DAY in OLD TOWN STATE HISTORIC PARK.  Museum volunteers anhd descendants from Old Town's founding families will perform living history demontrations and activities.  Fun and FREE for the whole family. 1890's woman Women's lives in 1895 
is the topic of the play at the Horton Plaza Lyceum Theatre and the presentation prior to the 8pm production.  Specifically, life without electricity.  Who knew what a drastic innovation that would be for women?  Sarah Ruhl's new work is a comedy about love and sex for adults with open hearts and minds. Broadway critics raved: "Inspired and brilliant." -The New Yorker; "Shamelessly entertaining!" -New York Magazine; "Surprisingly romantic." -Associated Press.
