Program Update: Seed 2 Plate
| |
 | | Students at Ypsilanti Middle School enjoy creating their own healthy smoothie recipes during Seed 2 Plate |
Our Seed 2 Plate after-school program is underway and Ypsilanti Middle School youth are learning basic cooking, nutrition, and gardening skills! Students have already loved to eat and learn how to make some delicious healthy meals and snacks including - vegetable skillet with brown rice, scrambled eggs with fresh vegetables, and fruit smoothies with spinach!
Next on the horizon is a trip to the Growing Hope Center to plant on the farm and going to the Downtown Ypsilanti Farmers' Market this May. Many thanks to our teacher sponsor Connie Shelton and all of the volunteers who come out weekly to make this program possible!

They're so popular, we had to add more tours!
|
|
Growing Hope invites the broader Michigan community to learn more about how we are currently engaging with the community and
why the Growing Hope Center is vital to creating a vibrant community. More than that, we want to show you the progress we've made, like the geothermal HVAC system, hoophouse cisterns, and green renovations in progress in our future headquarters.
Join us for a one-hour tour on:
- March 17th (at 8:30am)
- March 23rd (at 12:30pm)
- March 26th (at 11:30am)
- March 30th (at 5:00pm)
RSVPs are requested, so please click here to RSVP for a tour today! Are you ready to talk about making a gift or pledge to the campaign? Please contact Hannah for details of how your cash, stock, corporate, or matching gift can support the campaign.
Note: Because the site & building are under construction, it is not appropriate to bring children to the tours. Please wear weather-appropriate clothing & shoes.
