Sign up now for our five week Garden Leadership Training course! 5 clas ses give you the tools, resources and practice to develop o r strengthen your group garden effort. Learn start up basics for organizing, site assessment, garden planning and design, soil testing, and more. Identify resources, networks and potential partnerships.
 

New this year: break out modules for schools, community gardens and giving gardens, addressing issues and resources unique to each. 
 

The classes will be Monday evenings 6:30-8:30 pm March 7, 14, 21, 28, and April 4 at SPARK East -215 W Michigan Avenue, Ypsilanti. Space is limited, so register early.  A minimum of 3 people from your group should attend all 5 classes. $50.00 course fee per group for Growing Gardens members or $75.00 for non-members.  (If this is a hardship, limited scholarships may be available.)  Contact Wendy at (734)786-8401 or wendy@growinghope.net.

Seed Starting Squad member

We need your help growing vegetable seedlings in your home
for Growing Hope- be a part of the Seed Starting Squad this year and learn the basics about how to start seedlings indoors!  Without your help we do not have enough heated indoor space to start the quantity of plants that we need each year to share and distribute in the community and for our education and demonstration farm at the Growing Hope Center. No experience required! Participants not only learn seed starting basics using a lightstand, but will have room to grow 2 flats for themselves.  Lightstands may be purchased or are available to borrow. Workshop Days to pick up seed trays and light stands will be held on the following Saturdays- March 5, March 19, and April 5 at 10am and 12pm.
