Tomorrow, March 11th is Community Support Day at Whole Foods Cranbrook! 
Support Growing Hope and healthy food access this Thursday by shopping at Whole Foods Cranbrook wholefoods(990 W. Eisenhower Parkway, Ann Arbor).  March 11th is spring Community Support Day at Whole Foods Cranbrook, and 5% of the day's net sales will support the work of Growing Hope.

Community Tuesdays @ Grange
Supports Growing Hope This Month!

Every Tuesday in March, Grange Kitchen & Bar in Ann Arbor will contribute 10% of sales to Growing Hope!beets and peppers

Community Tuesdays reflect Grange's commitment to building a strong and meaningful community to live and work in. We are so excited to be part of Community Tuesdays and are grateful to Grange's commitment to fostering our vibrant community!

Come out and enjoy Chef Brandon's delicious, locally sourced menu that much more knowing that a portion of your dollars are going to help others gain healthy food access.  Eat, drink and be merry at Grange on Tuesdays (especially this month!)
Summer Internships at Growing Hope!
Learn and give back this summer! We're looking for six full-time summer interns.  Know someone looking for a summer internship opportunity, pass it on!  We're seeking interns for the following positions:

Garden Programs: Help people improve their lives and communities through gardening by supporting home and community gardeners.

Summer Youth Programs:  Promote healthy lifelong eating habits through our summer gardening and nutrition education programs.

Urban Farm Programs: Help us develop our working urban microfarm in the heart of Ypsilanti as a space for food production and education.


Volunteer Management:  Volunteers are the lifeblood of Growing Hope.  Learn management skills and systems through helping execute our volunteer programs during our busiest season.

Design and Marketing: Help us get the word out about what we do!  Assist Growing Hope with marketing and media through online & social media, documentary film, and print materials.  Help us document our programs and recruit participants from the community.

Downtown Ypsilanti Farmer's Market: Support our market and help it thrive through assisting in market management, food assistance programs, and marketing efforts. 
 
All interns must:
·      Be comfortable working with diverse audiences
·      Have enthusiasm for gardening and healthy food access
·      Be flexible about working non-traditional hours
·      Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
·      Be open to constructive criticism and feedback
·      Be able to work both independently and in a team
·      Have basic computer skills

Feeling crafty!?  We're looking for some help designing interactive games for our tabling events.  Vegetable bean bags, a spinning wheel with gardening tips--any ideas?  Send them our way.

We are also looking for a volunteer auto mechanic to do some work on the Growing Hope truck, and are always in need of both skilled and unskilled labor at the Growing Hope Center.

30 local friends brought seeds to swap and a dish to share to our monthly Community Potluck!  Join us April 1st, RSVP here.

45 participants joined us for our Seed Starting Squad and are growing hundreds of seedlings.  Start growing your own food--there's still room to join us March 20th!
