Greetings!

Can I just say that you've all been awesome! We were already up to 50% on our goal for comfort bears. Since we were obviously going to surpass that mark I've decided to up the challenge and aim for 200 bears before June 12. I know we can do it!

Save the Date: Lucy Neatby is coming to Rae's Yarn Boutique Oct 9th & 10th. I'll have more details soon about which classes she'll be teaching. Be on the lookout for signups to begin because her classes will surely fill up quick!

We have several other big events planned for this spring and summer. Keep an eye here for more details~

Knitting Olympics 2010

Team RYB

This year Knitting Olympics is being hosted on Ravelry as the Ravelympics and Rae's Yarn Boutique is getting in on the action!

Don't know what the Ravelympics are? The official Rules are here & here.

However, in a few words, the goal of the Ravelympics is to choose a project that will be a challenge for you to finish in 17 days & knit it during the Olympics. Cast-on when the flame is lit & bind-off before the flame goes out.

So, what do you need to do to participate?

First off, you do need a Ravelry Account to participate officially.

Then, pick your event and project to work on.

Create a project page for it on your ravelry account. Be sure to use 3 tags; ravelympics2010, TeamRYB2010, and the tag for your event. You must use the Ravelympics2010 tag to get your metal for finishing.

Do your warm ups... most events allow you to swatch before the Olympics start on Feb 12.

We have a thread on the shops Ravelry group for our team members to share which events/projects they're competing in.

So will you take up the challenge!
Winter 2010 Class Schedule
Yes, I finally finished the Winter 2010 class schedule. I don't have it up on the website yet, but you can download it right here.

We'll also have copies available in the shop if you have trouble viewing the PDF.

Remember that the coupon for $5 off one class expires Jan 31. Come in soon to take advantage of that great deal.
