Greetings!
Winter is around the corner... actually it is deceptively close! Despite the lack of snow the Holidays are looming quite near. I'm certainly doing some scrambling to get some last minute knitting done for the holidays!
I hope all of you are having a wonderful winter & are enjoying it in the company of your loved ones.

Summit Hill
Summit Hill is a wonderful versatile yarn. It's easy to care for (machine wash & dry) and so soft. Great for kids & adults alike. I've be knitting with this yarn extensively the fall. I absolutely love both working with it & how nice the final project looks.
Summit Hill is a great value over the next month as it's our featured yarn and offered at:

Winter Class List Full and Exciting Class Schedule this Fall!
The class schedule from Sept to Dec is now available to download from our website or by clicking here.
A Taste of Cables
Lynn H $15
Dec 1Tuesday 6:00-8:00
Learn a basic cable while knitting a luxurious
chunky cabled scarf. This is a really fun holiday gift idea!
EZ- Fit Hat
Rae $30
Dec 3 & 10Thursdays
6:00-8:00
This is my favorite hat ever! Choose any yarn you
like and knit a hat with a side-to-side brim. The hat is sized as you go for a
perfect fit every time! Then the brim is doubled over to add extra warmth for
the face & ears. The crown of the hat is picked up and knit during the
second class. This is a great opportunity to use that yarn you've been drooling
over, but didn't know what to knit with it...
Toe Up Mitten
Lynn H
$45
Dec 3, 10, 17Thursdays
6:00-8:00
Lynn's Newest Pattern! These mittens begin at the
finger tips using the same techniques learned in her toe up sock class. Then
the mitten is knit down to the cuff with a surprise twist for a very cool
thumb.
Wet
Felting 101
Lynn
H $25
Dec
8 Tuesday
6:00-8:00
We
always have an absolute blast in this class. Wool, warm water, and soapsuds are
everywhere while we learn to make felt without knitting. First learn with a
basic flat piece that makes a great coaster then experiment with larger pieces
while making a pincushion (you've all seen my green one in the shop) or cover a
bar of soap. Basic roving is included in the class fee, but we'll have
multi-color packs available if you have something special in mind.
Polymer Clay Gifts
Lynn $30
Dec 12 Saturday 11:00-3:00
Learn fun techniques with polymer clay to create fun
holiday gifts. We'll make cute knitting needles, custom handled crochet hooks,
nifty covered pens, and even a cute little jar! Expect a $25-30 supply fee which will include everything for
the class.
Woven Gifts
Rae $40
Dec 12Saturday 12:00-5:00
Weaving can be a super quick way to get those last
minute gifts finished. In this class I'll show you how to warp your loom for
multiple projects at a time and how to use different colored wefts and various
pick up stick patterns to make each project look different. We'll be warping
for 3 scarves in class and weaving samples of each pattern before starting on
the first scarf.
Art
Felt Gifts
Rae
$35
Dec
13 Sunday
1:00-3:00
If it's felt, but it's not knit, not
needle felted, and not wet felted, then what is it? Art Felt! Art felt is a
neat new way to felt. It is much easier to get your finished project the way
you want it. Plus it's much less physical work to do. We'll be making some
small projects that can be given as gifts like coasters, trivets/potholders,
and small pouches. All materials included in class fee.
Nuno
Felting
Lynn
H $15
Dec
13 Sunday
1:00-3:00
Nuno
felting is a fun twist on wet felting. Felt directly onto hand painted silk
gauze to create a textured, warm, but light weight scarf.
Indigo Dyed Gifts
Rae $25
Dec 13 Sunday
3:00-5:00
We'll be using natural indigo dyes and
resist techniques to dye up some beautiful silk scarves. We can also dye cotton
shirts as well as cotton or wool yarns, and rovings.
