We get many requests here at SUITE New York: Special finishes, exact sizes, custom upholstery and sometimes the very specific question, does it stack? NYC apartment living calls for space saving furniture options, so stacking questions are never a surprise! This week we present some of our favorite stackables.

Cavalletto
Cavalletto, which means easel in Italian, was designed by Angelo Mangiarotti in the early 1950s. As versatile and functional now as it was 50 years ago, Cavalletto is extremely easy to put together, stacking and staying in place by means of a simple gravity joint.

CB-12 Trays
What more could you ask for than a collection of trays as beautiful and useful individually as they are in a stack? While stacked, the solid wood carved CB-12 trays become an architectural side table. Take one down, pass it around (with a cheese plate) and you’ve still got a spot beside your sofa for drinks, books or backgammon board.

Duna
The Duna chair is available in a vast array of models and specifications, including a four-leg stacking version. A far cry from the stacking chairs that come to mind from the past, Duna has a lounge-style vibe that works just as well as a side chair, desk chair or dining chair.

Guest
Guest is our all time favorite small-scale bed. A genius design requiring zero hardware, Guest goes from single bed to double with no effort at all. Perfect for storing overnight guests in that cozy nook in your combination office/den/guest room.
