SUITE New York's Item of the Week: A Guide to Feeling Good

Victoria Hagan dedicated her Pink Swan Chair to the memory of a dear friend who passed away from breast cancer. The pink and orange diamond print fabric is alive with color while the back of the chair explodes in a bouquet of flowers. “She is dearly missed and her love of flowers speaks both to the beauty and fragility of life.”

DAVID MANN

David Mann’s avian inspired Pink Swan Chair is covered in feathers, brass pailettes and a sinfully soft plush pile fabric. Quiet in its beauty, the juxtaposition of soft and hard finishes “embrace a modern, unexpected and resilient feminine spirit.”

MILLY DE CABROL

Milly De Cabrol followed a path of joyful femininity with a delicate floral textile in bold hues by fashion designer Barbara Tfank. Moved by friends in fashion affected by breast cancer, Milly “wanted to create a Pink Swan Chair that appeals to every woman's girlish side.”

JULIE HILLMAN

Julie Hillman gave her Pink Swan Chair feathered wings in an allegorical homage to the expression of hope. The effortless addition of wings to the fluid lines of Arne Jacobsen’s original design define “The quest to overcome what at times seems impossible.”
