For 137 years Fritz Hansen has encapsulated a design philosophy conceived by the visionary cabinetmaker Fritz Hansen. The four core values of this philosophy dictate all designs are pure, original, relevant in time, and sculptural. Since 1872 an unparalleled roster of iconic designers from the past and present have ardently adhered to this philosophy. All of these designs and more can be seen at SUITE New York’s DesignX, May 14-18th, 11am-5pm daily.

SERIES 7 CHAIR
The Series 7 chair, designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1955, is the most sold chair in the history Fritz Hansen and perhaps in the history of all furniture. Why, you may ask? Because of the Series 7’s infinite adaptability. An extensive palette of colors, finishes and upholstery options make Series 7 a true design chameleon. Chair, stool, task chair, limited edition colors and a children’s version round out its versatile mystique.

T-No.1 table
The T-No.1 table series, designed by Todd Bracher in 2008, is a perfect example of the designer’s provocative credo that his designs demand no explanations. In Bracher’s eyes the T-No.1 table is a frame and a surface—nothing more and nothing less.

PK22 LOUNGE
The PK22 lounge chair, designed by Poul Kjaerholm in 1956, epitomizes the designer’s absolute devotion to materials. For a limited time the industrial steel frame has been paired with the original cotton canvas Kjaerholm favored. Fritz Hansen worked closely with Kjaerholm’s family to collaborate on the designer’s preferred color palette of primary red, umber green and black.

PK71 NESTING TABLES
Also designed by Poul Kjaerholm , the PK71 nesting tables are seen as the precursor to his larger and more complex tables. The three perfect squares, part of MoMA's permanent collection, come in white or black. For a limited time only find them in Kjaerholm’s primary color palette.
