KAISER idell

The KAISER idell series was designed by Christian Dell in 1936. Dell worked as a foreman at The Bauhaus School’s metal workshop and is considered one of the key figures in shaping the Bauhaus aesthetic. His timeless KAISER idell series has been compared to iconic German designs such as the VW Beetle and Ferdinand Porsche’s model 911.

The KAISER idell series features table, floor, wall and pendant versions.  The 6631 Luxus version is the most iconic of the series, a true symbol of Germanic design forged with superb materials and meticulous engineering.  A KAISER idell piece is a great addition to a design aficionado’s collection or an interior in need of the perfect lamp. 

BINIC

The Binic table lamp, designed by Ionna Vautrin in 2010, has already garnered quite a following due to its adorable shape and highly evolved design. A mere 7.4” in stature, the lamp packs serious punch through minimalist design and chic color choices. The aluminum base is available in white, green, red, orange, blue and gray. Binic was recently awarded a Wallpaper Magazine 2011 Design Award for Best Desk Light. 

Vautrin found inspiration for both name and design in the seaside village on the coast of Brittany where she grew up. The design is a charming rendition of the windsock aeration systems found on boats. Binic is the name of the town and its petite lighthouse. Alone or clustered, the Binic will add modern edge to any interior.
