Peter's Table & Chair
In 1944, when Hans Wegner needed a christening gift for the son of friend and fellow design legend, Borge Mogensen, he created Peter’s Table and Chair. The design consists of multiple solid wood surfaces that fit together like a puzzle, creating a table and chair without the use of tools. That way, little Peter received not only a table and chair, but a toy he could take apart and reassemble.
