Our memories of 9th grade Algebra include squeaky chalk, sharpened No.2 pencils and old fashioned tablet desks, carved to oblivion by Jimmy Duncan from 3rd period. In today’s classroom, where whiteboards and erasable pens now rule, students deserve modern but sturdy desks that keep them focused on ax+b=c,rather than Jimmy+Nintendo=.

Series 7 Writing Tablet

Two of SUITE New York’s most popular contract chairs are available with writing tablet accessories. Though originally designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1955, the Series 7’s tablet version was introduced in 2005. The white laminate, teardrop shaped writing tablet is stylish but more utilitarian and Jimmy Duncan-proof than traditional wood surfaces. The tablet is fixed with a chrome arm to any variation of Series 7, whose wood structure comes in a multitude of finishes, colors and upholstery options. Stackable up to 5 chairs.
