SUITE New York is proud to highlight the newest addition to our collection, YDF. An acronym for Young Designers Factory, YDF strives to “remove, simplify and optimize” each of their designs, while incorporating youth and personality through a rainbow of color options. Working primarily in metal, their durable and original pieces are suitable for contract or residential projects.

The Designers
Alberto Basaglia and Natalia Rota Nodari met in 1988 while studying at Milan’s Polytechnic University. Within ten years the duo had launched a line of bright and whimsical furniture for YDF, a well-known metal manufacturer based near Lake Como. Soon after, YDF was awarded first prize at the Young & Design competition. (Please click image at left for an overview of their work.)

Camilla
Camilla epitomizes the versatility, purity and freshness associated with the brand. Available in a wide range of colors, its seat and back are epoxy-painted alloy. Frame in chrome or epoxy-painted to match the seat. Available for indoor or outdoor use.

Riccardo
Square or rectangular in shape, the Riccardo collection of meeting or dining tables has straight lines and triangular cut legs. The epoxy-painted metal base is available in a range of colors. Finished with a black, white or red-lacquered glass top. Also pictured is the Lilli Work chair. Shown in black leather, it is available in a variety of finishes.

Di Di System
The Di Di System is a collection of hallway accessories including chromed or color-lacquered hangers, mirrors and shelves. Like a box of crayons, the wall hangers look terrific displayed in the full spectrum.
