SUITE New York's Item of the Week: Over the Rainbow

Ah, spring. Sunny one minute, drizzling the next. One upside is rainbows! And who doesn't love ROYGBIV (red, orange, yellow, green, indigo and violet)? At the International Furniture fair held in Milan last month, Glas Italia embraced the spectrum.

Color on Color

Award-winning designer and Ettore Sottsass protégé, Johanna Grawunder has created Color on Color, a collection of three mirrors in different shapes and sizes. Like a rainbow, the overlapping of the colors creates new tones.

The Dark Side of the moon

Leave it to Piero Lissoni to create a table of rainbow colors and, planting his tongue in his cheek, name it The Dark Side of the Moon. Available in both dining or occasional table height, the top consists of overlapping strips of colored glass in varied widths. Its transparent, borosilicate glass legs are fixed to the top with steel rings. The top also comes in a more neutral option, using a combination of transparent and acid-etched glasses.
