Fifty-five years after the debut of Arne Jacobsen's legendary Series 7 chair, Fritz Hansen has asked seven international, emerging designers -- born after the chair's creation -- to each select a new color to modernize its look. The result is fresh and new, and feels right today. The seven chairs will be available for a limited time, through December of 2010, and each is signed with a plaque on the seat's underside, authenticating the collaboration with its designer.

Always thinking outside the box, Novembre recently created an oasis in Milan for which he used white fiberglass Fiat 500C cars as tree planters.

Arik Levy selected neon pink. One can hardly open a design magazine without seeing Israel-born Arik Levy's name. Now a resident of Paris, Levy and his team of twenty work in multiple disciplines such as design, technology, photography, film, art, branding, and package design. Although he is well known for his furniture and interior design, he is unwilling to be defined in one area, saying, "The world is about people, not tables and chairs."
