Throughout time, famous essays have changed the course of history. Think of John Locke. Or David Sedaris. As famous essayist Aldous Huxley wrote: "The essay is a literary device for saying almost everything about almost anything, usually on a certain topic."

Essay
Danish designer Cecilie Manz's Essay table for Fritz Hansen says everything a table should say. That is to say, the design of a piece may appeal to some, but its materials not to others. Essay solves this by offering itself in a wide array of fabrications, making it a table that is fit for all.
|
Manz, who has won dozens of design awards and whose work can be found in New York's MoMA, is the daughter of two potters. Though working primarily in wood, she also designs in glass and other materials. Her pieces are contemporary extensions of classic Danish design, but created to stand next to classic Danish furniture.

Essay's solid wood top and base come in oak, ash, black-colored ash, and walnut. Stunning table extension leaves are available in black linoleum. The base is also available with a high gloss finish in black, white and sand. The table comes in a variety of lengths, allowing your Essay to say everything you want about a table.
