In Greek mythology, Atalanta was the king's athletic and strong-willed daughter who, unwilling to marry, insisted she would only wed a man who could beat her in a footrace. If he lost, he would be put to death. With the assistance of Aphrodite, Melanion defeated Atalanta and the two went on to a blissful marriage.

With a wood and steel interior structure, foam and polyester padding are layered with a down pad held in place with elastic for just the right give. The cotton cover comes in an array of colors and is completely removable for cleaning.
