Go Green School of the Week
The Go Green School of the Week features are back in full swing for the new school year.

Be sure to check your computers weekly for these interesting school features. You'll be notified by e-mail each time a new story is posted.

We are always on the prowl for schools to feature. Let us know what you're doing that's unique and makes you stand out from the crowd. The more info you can send, the better. We'll need photos, too.

Send your info to our School of the Week editor at [email protected]. If we choose your school, we'll contact you to gather even more details to make a great story.
Go Green Radio
The Go Green Initiative is extremely excited about our new Internet radio program on Voiceamerica.com.

Be sure to check it out! You can listen to our program online every Friday at 9 a.m. PDT/Noon EDT.

If you miss the show, don't worry. You can download the podcast to catch up on the latest Go Green news and trends.
Search the Internet to Help GGI
It's true that every little bit adds up.

In this case, it adds up to benefit us -- the Go Green Initiative.

Next time you surf the web for info, please use  www.goodsearch.com.

When you get to the GoodSearch web site, type in "Go Green Initiative" under "Who Do You GoodSearch For?"

Once you've entered the GGI info, search to your heart's content. GGI gets one plump penny for each search you do through GoodSearch.

It may not seem like much, but every cent adds up to tremendous support for the Go Green Initiative.

Earth Summit Almost Here

OncenterWe are excited to bring our Earth Summit 2008 to the East Coast this year. Our program is awesome with an A-list lineup of speakers. Click here for the full schedule.

The summit will be held Friday, October 17 and Saturday, October 18 at the OnCenter Complex in Syracuse, New York.

The summit is a gathering place for everyone -- concerned citizens, parents, teachers, students, environmentalists, business leaders and government leaders.

Attendees will get the highest quality training in cooperative environmental stewardship. You'll network with like-minded people from across the country and around the world.

The summit includes interesting tours of Go Green Initiative schools so that you can see programs in action and how they work on a day-to-day basis.

This is the first year we'll offer a special student track of seminars, offered on Saturday. These sessions are geared toward middle school, high school and college students. They will cover the Five Go Green Initiative Principles to help students jump-start their school programs. We're also offering a steeply discounted registration rate for students.

Click here for details about registration and rates.

A huge thanks to our gold sponsor, Covanta Energy, for helping us bring together people from all across the country and Africa (so far!) to work on shared goals of environmental protection.

We are also pleased to partner with the city of Syracuse, the New York State Association for Reduction, Reuse and Recycling (NYSAR3) and the New York State PTA for this year's event.

Be sure to register today to ensure your spot at this year's Earth Summit 2008.

Fundraising with Go Green
If your school needs to raise money, but you're bored with selling candy, wrapping paper and magazines, check out our Seeded Greeting Card Fundraiser.

There is absolutely no waste involved with this creative fundraiser. Once the lucky recipients have enjoyed their greeting cards, they merely plant them in the ground and watch them sprout!

The cards are completely biodegradable, made of high-quality recycled linen paper and printed with non-toxic ink. Choose from stock images and messages or customize your cards.

Click here for the Seeded Greeting Card Fundraiser page and follow the prompts for ordering info.

Don't delay -- orders must be received by Nov. 14 to ensure holiday delivery.

Nothing could be better than raising money and helping the environment!
