Don't miss this week's episode of Go Green Radio on Friday, August 29th, 2008 at 9:00 am PDT/12:00 pm EDT. This week we will be talking about "What Makes a School Green". You can tune in to our Internet radio show by going to www.voiceamerica.com. Once there, choose Voice America under the "Network" option at the top and at 9 am you will hear our radio program's live feed.
If you'd like your kids' school to 'go green', don't reinvent the wheel! Today we'll chat with some trail blazers who will serve as your "Deans of Green" in sharing tips that really work. First up is the Go Green Initiative's Teacher of the Year, Ryan Finley, better known as the "Lorax" of Grace Hill Elementary in Rogers, Arkansas. We'll also talk to the pioneer of the Go Green Initiative in Texas and the GGI's Parent of the Year, Casey Magnuson about how she inspired Texas State PTA to 'go green.' Finally, we'll talk to Elizabeth Eagan-Cox, a former school librarian who has recently published a new book "A Ghost of a Chance" as an eco-friendly eBook - more information at www.ElizabethEaganCox.com. She will share her insights on the advantages of eBooks, both in the school setting and for personal enjoyment.
Join us to learn more making your school green!
