Our Go Green School of the Week, A. X. Benavides, has been in full force since last spring. The entire school has been recycling like crazy!

This year, the 5th grade students are making recycling a year long project. They planned another school-wide collection for America Recycles Day, Nov. 15th. They recovered paper, newspaper, and aluminum cans.

In just one hour, 2785 pounds of recyclable material was recovered. Parents and students lined up in front of the school to drop off the materials.
