Greetings!

Welcome back to a new school year. Over the summer there has been a lot of exciting news for Go Green. Check out what's been happening ! Don't forget, the Earth Summit is coming up on November 2-3, 2007. There are only 350 spaces and they are going fast. See Quick Links to register.

cartridge world
Cartridge World, the world's largest printer cartridge refiller, and Go Green have paired up to promote environmental education. Cartridge World has donated $10,000 to the Green Initiative and will distribute our materials to schools around their stores. They will offer a 20% discount to students, teachers, and PTA members on refilled or remanufactured printer cartridges when they exchange an empty cartridge.

Cartridge World is no stranger to helping local environmental initiatives. They currently have a recycling fundraising program throughout the nation. This program invites participants to collect empty ink and toner cartridges. Cartridge World will buy back the cartridges to be sure that they are recycled properly. If you are interested in establishing a recycling program, visit their website to find the location nearest you.

stacey debroff
Stacey DeBroff, national parenting expert, author, and frequent guest of the Today show is blogging about the Go Green Initiative. On her MomBlog, Stacey refers to this month's Ebony article about raising children to be environmentally friendly. She also references the Go Green Initiative for our dedication to helping schools across the world go green. Check out Stacey's blog and let her know how Go Green Moms feel about our program.

Ebony girls
The article "Growing Up Green," in the August issue of Ebony magazine discusses the many ways parents and schools can teach children to be good environmental stewards. Our own Go Green Initiative was highlighted in the article. As noted by founder Jill Buck, "Children are usually excited about helping to preserve the environment."

One of our Go Green schools in NYC was photographed for the article. We are very proud of their showcase Go Green Initiative program! Picture by Tyrone Rasheed
