Success Story: Trucha

New to retail, Anthony and Mimi Rodriguez decided to open Trucha after brainstorming for two years. Trucha is a department store that has a layaway plan letting customers break up purchases into a payment plan. "A one-stop-shop, our slogan is 'For Locals by Locals'." Anthony, co-owner of Trucha said, "With rising gas prices and a tough economy, we want to make it convenient for people who want quality product at an affordable price." Trucha provides a valuable service to the Rodriguez's community. "Growing up on a budget, our families found it convenient to make small payments rather than empty the pocketbook with one big hit," Mimi said. They would like to offer that feeling of ease to your home.

Karla Gonzalez - Business Consultant

Karla Gonzalez joined the Inland Empire Small Business Development Center (IESBDC) as a Business Consultant April 2010. She provides counseling and training services to businesses throughout the Inland Empire.
Karla worked for more than five years with the Inland Empire Minority Business Enterprise, a part of the U.S. Department of Commerce where she counseled business owners on the managerial and technical aspects of expanding their businesses, as well as the importance of sound financial management. She has a successful track record in government procurement and job creation. Karla has over 10 years experience in business management, government certifications, business administration, project management, budget/accounting, customer service, event planning, strategic planning, and real estate.
