All we ask is that you challenge yourself to think in new ways about the future of your business and to take measures that lead to sustainable outcomes.  Focus on creating a great company where the leaders and team members enjoy going to work every day and the worries will begin to disappear.
 
The time for doom and gloom is over.  It's time to move in a new direction. 

Focus on your customer base.
Take a walk in your customer's shoes and be a solution to their problems.  How is the economy affecting their business?  Now focus on their priorities.  Increase your sales, marketing and advertising to reach newly available customers.
 
Implement the plan quickly and focus on your people.
When people are unsettled, it causes a disruption of workflow.  Each person plays a critical role in the company's success.  Create an environment where your people feel they are treated with fairness and respect and where their contributions are valued. 
 
Be the hallmark of service excellence.
What will it take to be known for legendary service?  Besides the people in your organization, is everything else "customer friendly" - including accounting, systems, delivery, follow-up, etc?
 
Work on a plan of attack. 
Write down your goals and prepare a written action plan.  Then, Just Do It.  The greatest strategy in the world is worthless without flawless execution.
 
Train to peak performance. 
People are your number one unlimited resource.  If sales are down, train your salespeople.  If morale is low, leadership and team training must be your number one priority.
 
Measure performance.
What gets measured gets done.  Studies show performance improves when it is measured and results are communicated.  To accelerate improvement, take the pulse of the teams within the organization and then take action to close any gaps.
 
Stay the course.
While the pace of the business world around us has accelerated, the pace of decision making today has slowed.  It's easy to throw in the towel and head a different direction if you don't think you are getting results fast enough.  Make the decision and own the results.
 
Find a mentor or an executive business coach. 
Get feedback on where you are, where you are headed and how to overcome the obstacles that might get in the way. 
Facing fear and anxiety head on is the first step in handling a setback.  Make your worry work for you by moving from destructive "doomsday" worry to productive "how can I get through this" worry.
 
Tap your resources.
A strong social network increases our health, happiness and longevity.  This network can be a crucial stress buster, helping us process emotions, get perspective and have fun.
