Students/Parents at Curriculum Night

Pine Tree Intermediate School involved parents this month at Curriculum Night.  The campus provided parents with dinner, followed by large and small group sessions to explain the knowledge and tips needed to help their students prepare for success in the classroom and specifically on the NEW upcoming State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR).

"One of the many projects we're working on in Pine Tree ISD is to allow learning to happen 24/7," Superintendent T.J. Farler said.  Farler, Principal Quentin Woods and teachers encouraged parents to be involved in their children's school work, providing them tips and activities to help their children along.

National Guidance Counselor Appreciation Week

Pine Tree ISD will celebrate National Guidance Counselor Appreciation Week from Monday, Feb. 6, through Friday, Feb. 10.   More than 28,000 school counselors nationwide will participate in the week's festivities, hosting special events and activities to call attention to the benefits of a comprehensive school counseling program.  Read more about the outstanding counselors at PTISD.

Volunteers Wanted - Needed - Loved

One of the reasons we have PT Pride is our loyal volunteers.  PT encourages parents, guardians, and patrons of our district to become an active part of the schools in our community.

If you have time and a heart for kids, we need you!  There are many ways to get involved.  Here's how:

1 - Read more about opportunities
2 - Complete a Volunteer Application
3- Get answers from the Community Resources Dept.
4- Jump in and get started making a difference in the lives of students.

SB Apprec

Texans benefit every day from the tireless work and countless hours dedicated by a group of more than 7,300 men and women in communities across the state. As public servants, they are elected to serve by local constituents and receive no compensation for their efforts. These men and women are the school board members of Texas.

January is School Board Recognition Month and Pine Tree ISD took an opportunity at the regular meeting January 9th to thank these local leaders for devoting time to support public education and serve our local schools. Special recognition events are planned for the entire month where each board member will enjoy a special event on one of the eight Pine Tree campuses.
