2011 Advanced Placement Awards

| AP Honors Announced at Nov. Board Meeting |
Twenty-four (24) students at Pine Tree High School have earned AP Scholar Awards in recognition of their exceptional achievement on AP Exams and were recognized at the November Board meeting.
At Pine Tree High School: Four students qualified for the AP Scholar with Distinction Award by earning an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams. These students are Adam Allen, Shereef Elhalwagi, Molly McGuire, and Pooja Reddy. One student qualified for the AP Scholar with Honor Award by earning an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams. This student is Veronica Vasquez. Nineteen students qualified for the AP Scholar Award by completing three or more AP Exams with scores of 3 or higher. The AP Scholars are Brenda Arras, Dylan Bailey, Kristin Burns, Amy Butler, Mary Crowson, Mary Dunn, Grant Guest, Bradley Hart, Catrine Johnasen, Miguel Juarez, Kendall Kennedy, Harita Koya, Paige Lackey, Ryan Millikin, Theresa Pisano, Zachary Ramsey, Miranda Samford, Joshua Schulik, and Jared Smart. |
FINANCIAL AIDE WORKSHOP - Thursday, Dec. 8th

Education and training beyond high school can get expensive. In order to help families move ahead successfully in the process, Pine Tree High School will be presenting a financial aid workshop. Any student or parent wanting to know more about the financial aid process for colleges/universities (2-year and 4-year) should attend: Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 6:30PM in the PTHS High School Library. 5K Run / Walk to Support Chris Sartor

Pine Tree High School Pirate Cross-Country Team is sponsoring a fun run/walk for their classmate, Chris Sartor, a 15 year old PTHS student who received a traumatic spinal cord injury. Proceeds from this event will assist Chris' family with medical expenses. Other donations will be accepted at the event. Download the 5K Flyer.
