    Make Education a Priority
    MEP
"Make Education a Priority" is a grass roots movement by Texas School Boards to motivate legislators to work hand-in-hand with educators to provide all Texas children with a school finance system that is adequate, fair and equitable. This can only be accomplished by respectful communication and productive work among legislators, educators and a public that cares about its children. The resolution offers a way for communities to come together with a united goal.  READ MORE.

    Superintendent Update

The Superintendent search firm, Griggs and Assoc, has been retained by the board to find Pine Tree a new leader. They are scheduled to meet with each campus, department and several parent and community groups during March 29-31, to seek input which will be used to develop a profile of what PTISD wants in our next superintendent.

The first round of interviews will be done by Griggs mid-April. The finalists will interview with the school board during the first week of May in hopes of identifying a lone finalist that can be in place by early June.

    Board Member Filing Period:
Filing for the two open positions on the PT School Board continues for Place 6 and Place 7.  Deadline to file is March 14th.  More information is available from the district office, 903-295-5000, or can be read on the Board web page.
