Go Green
Pine Tree ISD is launching a new single stream recycling program district wide.  The district has enlisted Republic Services to recycle cardboard, plastic, aluminum and steel in addition to the paper products which PTISD uses daily.  Single stream recycling allows all of these materials to be disposed of in the same receptacles, and then sorts them at a Republic material recovery facility.  Republic Services, which operates with Allied Waste Industries in Longview, Texas, is one of the nation's largest providers of environmental services, owning and operating material recovery facilities, landfills and gas-to-energy plants.  READ MORE.
