On Monday March 8th, the Pine Tree Independent School Board of Trustees voted to call a $19,990,000 school bond referendum. Voting will be held May 8, 2010. The proposed projects include new construction, additions, renovations and major maintenance projects.

The bond referendum includes:
Building a new 7,500 seat stadium which would meet current accessibility and code requirements, and include dressing rooms, concessions, broadcasting and more.

Building a new locker/dressing room facility near the tennis courts to serve boys & girls tennis, girls soccer and girls softball.

Renovations of classrooms on three wings of the high school campus including preparation for a culinary arts program are proposed.

Improvements to the high school theatre sound, seating and lights are included.

Expansion of practice fields and resurfacing of the track at the high school are proposed for students and community use.

Lighting and seating will be added to the band practice field.

Major maintenance needs on multiple campuses are also addressed.
