It's been a gorgeous month here in San Diego. My poor parents and relatives are struggling with blizzards and below zero weather. LOL! Anyways, read on, I apologize for not having everything in place for next month's line up, but please be assured that there will be lots to do with the Wine Smarties!


 Tasting Wealth 8: February Magic
 Romance is brewing

girls laughing Can you believe it's been 8 months already! We have been consistently bringing you off-the-beaten path, excellent value for dollar tastings and we will be bringing you one more. Save the date, February 3rd, from 6-8pm. I am working on something to tie into Valentine's day that hasn't been done before. If you've never been to a Tasting Wealth, you should definitely check us out!

 


 Cheese and Wine Pairing on a Budget, Take 2!
 February 6, 3-5pm

cheese If you missed last month's cheese and wine pairing, well, too bad for you. We heard from Taste's in-house Cheese mongering team tons about making cheese, tasting cheese and of course i was there to help discuss pairing cheese with wine.

Well, we are at it again, to offer another cheese and wine pairing just in time for V-day. Perhaps you want to surprise your valentine with an at-home pre-dinner wine and cheese board? Sound good? Well, we'll be discussing which wines and which cheeses make great lovers all the while keeping it in your budget.

 


 German Wine Pairing with Rudi Wiest
 This Saturday, January 16th

germany Rudi Wiest has been importing some of the best German wines into America for decades. There is no doubt that everyone whom has enjoyed a great bottle of German Riesling or Pinot Noir in the last 20 years in America those wines were either imported by Mr. Wiest or by someone inspired by Mr. Wiest.

This Saturday the 16th there will have an entire day with Rudi Wiest at the Del. Starting at 4pm in ENO with a cheese and charcuterie tasting featuring mostly German white wines, followed at 6.30pm by a 4 course dinner at 1500 Ocean featuring mostly German Red wines. Rudi Wiest will be on hand the entire time telling stories and pulling back the veil on some of the greatest German wine estates. Get ready for Rieslings and Pinot Noirs to knock your socks off, paired up with prized selections from the ENO cheese cave and Chef Brian Sinnott's killer cuisine.

$105 per person for the entire day, or $35 for the ENO class and $70 for the 1500 4course dinner. Also we will be offering a 20% discount on Rooms in the hotel for the event. make a day and next morning out of it! I always appreciate your support everyone, this is one dinner that i can't wait for. Limited to 25 seats, please let me now soon, and don't forget to tell the neighborhood!
