On Saturday October 30th, Rock Bottom Ranch hosted its annual Harvest Party. With the support of staff, volunteers, and sponsors, Rock Bottom welcomed more than 600 visitors who enjoyed pumpkin carving, live music, pony rides and many more fun fall activities.

A World View from the Andes

Monday, November 29th, 6pm Hallam Lake
Indigenous visitors from Taquile Island, Lake Titicaca, Peru, bring a view from the Andes to Colorado. This program will include a slide show, a lecture on The Andean World View, a weaving demonstration and textile bazaar, and a colorful performance of traditional folk dance and music. Taquile is known for its detailed figured weavings and knitted goods and is designated a Cultural Heritage Site for its Textile Art by UNESCO.They are being brought to this country as part of a dance troupe to help celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the InterAmerican Foundation in Albuquerque, NM, and hosted in Colorado by Sam Brown and Tara Miller of Paonia, Colorado. |
