Join ACES and CORE for a Climate Action Party
with Bill McKibben, the celebrated author,
environmentalist, founder of 350.org,
and scholar in residence at Middlebury College. The event is FREE and
open to the public, and begins at 3:30pm on Friday July 9th at Hallam
Lake.
Bill will speak about the importance of rapid adoption of
climate policies, and explain some of the ways individuals can take
action. After his talk, we'll all get on our phones and communicate with
our congressmen. Refreshments provided.

Whether you are a hobbyist photographer or a serious shutterbug, learn the tricks of the
trade from award-winning local photojournalist Pete McBride. Pete has
worked on assignment in over 60 countries for National Geographic,
Outside, Esquire, Men's Journal, Smithsonian and GEO to name a few. He
will teach composition, lighting, storytelling and editing during a
fun-filled, intense 3-day workshop around the Aspen area.
Watercolors & Wildflowers July 26-28, 9am - 5pm $335, $295 members
Join local artist Sarah Peterson for this three-day adventure inspired
by the exquisite natural surroundings of Toklat. You will experience the
wonder and success of wet on wet technique as you discover your own
artistic "voice." A close up look at wildflowers and other nature's
miracles will inspire your work whether you are a beginner or an
experienced artist. The excitement of success with watercolor and the
experience of wonder will guide your artistic explorations well beyond
this class.
