RBR Traditional Arts Series

Wool Dyeing and Knitting IIwool
February 9th, 5:30-8:00pm
$25 members/$35 non-members

For this class we will continue to work on our knitting skills, as well as learn a different way to dye wool by painting our skeins of yarn.  This technique allows you to use a variety of colors in one skein, creating a multi-colored work of art.

All materials provided.
Kids are welcome with prior approval from RBR staff.

Himalayan Poet Visits Aspen
Tuesday, February 16th, 6:30pm - 8:30pm

ACES and the Aspen Poets' Society Present Yuyutsu RD Sharma, distinguished Himalayan poet, at Hallam Lake on Tuesday, February 16th at 6:30 pm for a poetry reading and book signing, followed by a community potluck.  


Yuyutsu RD Sharma is a Nepalese poet and translator who extensively travels for readings and workshops.  He has presented in New York, London, Belfast, Amsterdam, Bonn, Frankfurt, New Delhi and many other cities around the world.  This is his first time in Aspen.  In addition to his own works, which have been translated into eight languages, Yuyutsu has translated and edited several anthologies of contemporary Nepali poetry in English.  He is widely published in a myriad of periodicals and has recently completed his first novel.
