Join us for some good clean fun! We will be creating olive oil soap for sensitive skin. Accentuate your soap and make it unique with various essential oils and textures.

Learn the time-honored traditions of candle making!  We will focus on the traditional arts of dip candle making and a mold jar method.  Get creative using colors and fragrances!

All materials provided.
Kids are welcome with prior approval from RBR staff.

Visits Hallam Lake

Celebrate the Holidays at Hallam Lake! Activities include crafts and goodies, caroling, and helping Olaf the Elf deliver holiday treats to all the wild critters.

Sven the Ranch Elf

Visits Rock Bottom Ranch

Sven, a Swedish elf who visits the Ranch every year just as the snow starts dusting the farmyard, invites children of all ages to help feed and care for all the ranch animals as the winter sets in. Join in this fun-filled holiday event for the whole family.

Fish, birds, beavers and bears! Kids will explore the winter habitats of animals, make art based on the science they learn, and will be
inspired by the Aspen Art Museum's most popular exhibits.

Are you ready to enjoy some snowy action-packed days at Hallam Lake? Examine animal tracks, build a snow cave, make art, learn survival techniques, and investigate how animals cope with winter.

Wintertime at Rock Bottom Ranch brings cold weather, snow, and plenty of excitement. Begin each morning by feeding the farm animals, play games, and much more!

Snowshoe Tours Begin!

Take a naturalist-guided snowshoe or ski tour and learn about wildlife in winter, tracking, mountain ecology, Aspen history, and the often unseen natural wonders of life in the snow.
Tours are offered every day throughout the winter on Aspen Mountain, Snowmass, and at the ghost town of Ashcroft.
