Poetry Potluck at Toklat

Featuring Bruce Berger

soapsThe Catto Center at Toklat will be hosting a Poetry Potluck on Sunday November 8th at 5:30, featuring acclaimed local writer and poet Bruce Berger.

Bruce is the author of ten books, many of them exploring the intersections of nature and culture in desert settings, including The Telling Distance, winner of the Western States Book Award. His poems have appeared in Poetry, Barron's, The New York Times and various quarterlies, and have been collected in Facing the Music. He took his first dog sled ride at Toklat in 1953.

Please join ACES' Council and staff for an evening around the potbelly stove as Bruce's words transport us from mountain to desert and beyond.   A dialogue will follow.  Please bring a seasonal potluck dish to share.  The event is free, though donations are encouraged.
