Mid-Summer's Eve Celebration
Saturday, July 18th, 3pm - 9pm at Rock Bottom Ranch

Come celebrate the summer with your friends at Rock Bottom Ranch! Learn
new skills like friction-fire and mask-making as you prepare for this
potluck feast which will include RBR roasted chickens and a delicious
salad from the garden. An archery shoot-out,
drumming and story-telling around the fire are sure to be the
highlights of this evening under the stars.

Schedule of Events
3-5 pm - Fire Making Learn
to rub two sticks together and make fire! Hand drill, bow drill, and fire plow methods will be taught.
3-5 pm - Mask Making Use
provided natural materials to create a mask to wear around the fire.
3-5 pm - Makin' Seed Ballz! A
fun family project that involves meshing soil, mud, and seeds to create
a variety of seed balls - throw them anywhere you want things to grow!
5-6 pm - Primitive Bow & Arrow Shoot Test
your marksmanship with bow and arrow! Individual and team relay shoots
will be run after a practice session. Prizes for the most bulls-eyes.
6-6:30pm - Salad Picking at RBR garden and Tour of the Farm
6:30-8pm - Potluck Feast RBR will provide roasted chicken, garden salad, and lemonade. Please bring side dishes of GRAINS, POTATOES, VEGETABLES, and/or DESSERT.
8pm - Evening Drumming,
dancing, and stories around the fire. Bring a mask, drum, instruments,
and a favorite summer story or poem to share.
