Today we begin a 40 Day journey to get our lives in SHAPE! We have been telling people that we want them to find their SHAPE. I appreciate everyone who has mentioned that my shape is obviously round!
Seriously though, we do want everyone to discover how God has SHAPEd them for ministry. The word SHAPE is an acrostic where each letter stands for something important.
S- Spiritual Gifts
H- Heart passion
A- Abilities
P- Personality
E- Experiences
These five ingredients make up who God has SHAPEd us to be in serving Him and serving others. This week we are going to think about the S in SHAPE which stands for Spiritual gifts. In Romans 12:6, Paul says, In His grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well (NLT). As a Christian you will have the opportunity to discover your spiritual gifts throughout this week. This link allows you to take a spiritual gift inventory which will reveal your spiritual gifts. Take the inventory as soon as possible and make sure it is emailed back to Pam Doherty at pam@fbcmarionark.org.
We are going to help you discover how to use these spiritual gifts to serve God and serve others in the coming week as we seek to get our spiritual lives and physical lives in SHAPE during the next 40 days.

Today's Prayer:
Dear God, please reveal to me how
you have gifted me as your follower to both serve You and serve others.
Help me to understand my SHAPE for ministry in the next 40 Days and
commit myself to spiritual growth and greater commitment toward You, my
family, and my church. Amen.
