Welcome to the March edition of the
Virtually 24/7 Newsletter.  This month is dedicated to giving you some tips on how to optimise your website to help you to attract the attention you deserve.
More tips for attracting visitors to your Website
Much is written about SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) but I doubt many of you have time to research and read all the comments posted on the web.  I'm therefore giving you some free advice to help boost your traffic and ensure your website is working for you while you're working for your clients!

FREE TIPS FOR OPTIMISING YOUR WEBSITE CONTENT

1.Unique Content - Search engines are becoming smarter and are identifying clone sites in order to give them a lower ranking. What they want to see are interesting sites with compelling content which add value to the web.
What to do?
Provide a site that has good unique content by regularly adding new features and articles.

2. Strong keywords You can create a great site, but if it doesn't contain relevant keywords, it won't rank well.
How do you find them?
There are too many online tools to list here but generally, you need to include keywords that have a high enough number of monthly searches, but a low number of competitors. You should aim for around 20 - 30 of these.

3. Website Structure - What to do with your keywords?
Use a keyword rich title. At the same time, limit your title to only two or three keywords.
You can also use meta tags. Meta tags go in the header of your site, and this is where you can place relevant keywords. It's important however not to include too many (known as keyword-stuffing), or your site will be ignored.

If you know anyone who needs a web presence (or would like a new site designed within a tight deadline which is simple to manage), ask them to get in touch for a free consultation.
