November 2007

Greetings!

It's Bullying Awareness Week. All across Canada, educators and parents are working together to make sure all kids feel safe and supported at school.

In this issue, we introduce a handy Bullying Prevention E-Kit for the community presented by the City of Toronto's Coalition for the Awareness and Prevention of Bullying. Plus watch a new Kid-Safe Productions' video on cyberbullying!

Please feel free to forward this email to a friend or colleague if you find it useful. At Kid-Safe Productions, we wish all of our readers a successful Bullying Awareness Week that has a lasting impact in your community.

Best regards,

Being bullied is never fun. Where can parents go for help? What can schools do to keep the environment a safe and caring one? Who can kids turn to? Find answers to all of these important questions with the City of Toronto's Coalition for the Awareness and Prevention of Bullying's first official Bullying Prevention E-Kit. Here's where you will find loads of valuable information from such organizations as Kid-Safe Productions, TDSB, Canadian Safe School Network, Parent Coalition for Safe Schools, Kids Help Phone and other proud members of the Toronto Coalition - - ALL with just a single click.

    Watch A Video "Delete Cyberbullying"

Kid-Safe Productions presents its first in (hopefully) a whole series of video productions on social skills development. "Delete Cyberbullying" is an informative piece that speaks directly to youth on this well-known and wide-spread problem. It offers tips in a language kids and youth can understand, all in just under 2 minutes! The video features an appearance by actor, writer and experienced workshop coordinator, Janice Peters who has spent hours talking to kids about this topic. Janice also researched this engaging video-byte for Kid-Safe.

We'd love your feedback on this great video to see if we should continue producing them so, feel free to let us in on what you think!

If after you click the link you do not see the video right away, scroll down to the bottom of the new page. This video is best viewed in the latest versions of Internet Explorer, Safari and Firefox.
