On behalf of the entire EFD Phase II Research Team, we wish to invite you and other members of your organization to a sponsors-only meeting wherein the results from the current effort will be discussed.
We recognize that one of the benefits of your EFD sponsorship is the chance to network with one another in order to discuss new developments related to how you're working to reduce the environmental footprint. So, all sponsors have the opportunity to have space in the entrance hall to the meeting to exhibit. There is plenty of room, so bring whatever you would like!

Recent News and Highlights
Did you make it to the Offshore Technology Conference? With over 88,000 people attending this year, it wasn't easy to get around and just about impossible to see half of the exhibitors. A group of EFD partners, however, participated in a small guided tour of several of our sponsors' booths. Information on technology that can have an impact on reducing the environmental footprint on-shore was plentiful and the presentations dedicated to the tour led to great conversations and sharing of ideas crucial in our industry. Professionals from the industry are encouraged to submit their paper proposals to the 2013 SPE/IADC Drilling Conference and Exhibition taking place March 5 - 7, 2013.

The EFD program, funded by federal, state and foreign government agencies, industry and environmental organizations, provides unbiased science to policy makers and identifies, develops and tests new technologies, processes and systems to reduce the environmental footprint associated with oil and gas activities, from well site selection through natural gas compression. The program, approximately $4 million per year, is engaged in research and technology transfer activities from the Western Slope of the Rockies to the Ukraine, and from the North Slope of Alaska to Columbia (South America). Research includes land, air and water issues, as well as public perception investigations. The program was honored with the Chairman's Stewards Award for Environmental Partnership at the 2009 Annual Meeting of the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission.
