Lord Baden-Powell
| Monday, October 15, 2012 6:30 p.m. First United Methodist Church of Marianna 2901 Caledonia St Marianna, FL 32446
|
Lord Baden-Powell, the founder of Boy Scouts, will visit Troop 3 Boy Scouts next month!
ALL TROOPS AND PACKS ARE INVITED TO COME!
For over 20 years, Jim Moore has been volunteering to perform historical presentations for schools, civic clubs, and church groups. Moore has done a study into the lives of each personality he portrays and appears in the dress appropriate for the occasion. When portraying Baden-Powell, the background begins when Baden-Powell, a British officer on assignment to India, transfers to the battles of Africa and finally to England, as he expanded upon his desire to offer boys a wider role in learning the skills of leadership. These same basics of scouting remain relevant today.
For more information, please call Troop 3 scoutmaster Bill Kleinhans at 850-526-2897 or mobile 850-209-1778.
