DATE CHANGE DUE TO STORM
The council-wide camp promotion roundtable provides pack, troop and crew leaders with vital 2012 camping information. New this year, we have added booths on a variety of council events and prize drawings! All this with a free pancake dinner.
During the breakout sessions you will be able to pre-register your Unit by reserving your Camp Patrol sites - still a bargain at $25 per site with each site containing 4 tents with a total capacity of 8 people. Be sure to bring your payment with you to confirm your reservation.
Also during the breakout sessions you will be instructed on the Council's on-line reservation system, Camp Master. We will go over how to navigate the site, register your Unit, and give you a step-by-step manual to guide you through the process.
Merit Badge registration will open on Camp Master on March 1 and you will be able to load your Summer Camp roster before then.

Eagle Board of Review Date Change | Thursday, February 16 |
DATE CHANGE
The Eagle Board of Review date this month has been changed from February 9 to February 16. The location remains the same, Council Service Center in Dothan. The date change is due the Camp Promotion Council Roundtable date being changed as a result of the storms on January 26. |

FOR NEW EXECUTIVE BOARD MEMBERS
A new board member orientation will be held on Thursday, February 16, 6:30 pm at our Council Service Center, 6801 W. Main Street, Dothan, Alabama, 36305. The orientation will provide an overview of council operations, board responsibilities and an opportunity to meet our board officers. Dinner will be provided. EAGLE SCOUTS TO BE HONORED
The annual banquet will recognize the 2011 Class of Eagle Scouts plus the effort of our dedicated volunteers. All Scouts who earned their Eagle Rank in 2011 are invited to be our guests and will be presented with a special neckerchief.
Banquet Chair Teresa Turner is pleased to announce that Don Salt, Scoutmaster Troop 38, has been selected as the 2011 Class Honoree. Parents and friends of the Eagle Scouts, plus all Scouters are encouraged to attend. Advanced reservations are required. Cost $25.

The premier training program for all Scout leaders in the Boy Scouts of America. This includes all Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Varsity and Venturing Leaders, District and Council Committee members as well as Professional Scouters. Wood Badge is designed to train adult volunteers using the latest leadership skills and techniques.

Cub Scout Day Camp | Monday, March 26 to Friday, March 30 Camp Alaflo |
This year's camp is our biggest yet in many areas. The Camp is a full five days from Monday, March 26 to Friday, March 30. It lasts all day from early morning to 5 in the afternoon. And, everyone is invited - that's right, brothers, sisters, cousins, neighbors, friends, etc. are able to come to Camp for the week. It's a perfect alternative to a "normal" day care!!!
