2012 Lakes Area Fact Book Released

The 2012 Lakes Area Fact Book has been published and released - featuring an abundance of demographic information on the Alexandria and Douglas County areas.

New to this year's publication: Expanded information on all public school districts located in Douglas County, additional retail trade information, and much more.

Copies of this publication can be downloaded by going to www.alexmn.org/community-demographics.html or in hard copy from the AAEDC offices.


AAEDC Regional Job Posting Board Launched

In an effort to assist regional manufacturing and healthcare companies with promoting employment opportunities, the AAEDC has added a regional job posting board to the organization's website.  Positions posted on the site include manufacturing and healthcare opportunities from throughout Douglas County and the surrounding area, and are promoted by the AAEDC throughout the region.  Posting positions is free of charge and available to manufacturing and healthcare companies.

The Regional Job Board can be accessed directly by going to www.alexmn-jobs.org.

Board Member Spotlight:
Dr. Kevin Kopischke

Representation: City of Alexandria

 

Kevin is one of three representatives of the City of Alexandria on the AAEDC Board of Directors and has served the organization for 19 years with multiple terms as Board Chair.

Kevin is the President of Alexandria Technical & Community College and brings a wealth of higher education and Alexandria regional community knowledge and insights to the Board and organization.

 

 

West Central MN Small Business Development Center Holding Monthly Office Hours at AAEDC

In an effort to better serve the entrepreneurs and small businesses of the Alexandria region, the West Central MN Small Business Development Center (SBDC) of Concordia College will be holding regular office hours at the AAEDC the 3rd Thursday of each month, from approximately 9am-1pm.
Appointments outside of these office hours can also be made to meet with an SBDC counselor.
