On Thursday, December 15, 2011, the Orleans Parish School Board Committee Meetings will be followed by a Special Board Meeting. The Committee Meetings will begin at 2 p.m. in the McDonogh #35 Senior High School Auditorium, 1331 Kerlerec Street; the Special Board Meeting is scheduled to convene at 5 p.m. in the same location.

Of note, the Accountability Committee is scheduled to act on charter application recommendations from the National Association of Charter School Authorizers and the full Board will consider action on issuing $79 million in bonds for school construction and, separately, allow for discussion of the millage rate approved by the Board at the October 18, 2011 Business Meeting.
