The Committee received and discussed the following two reports and solicited public input
- Revisions to the School Facilities Master Plan
- Revisions to Building Specifications

- July - Public input and further staff research
- August - OPSB & BESE consideration
Basis of Recommendations
- Post-census demographic estimates
- Volunteer committees of local educators and facilities experts
- Available funding
- Updated Facility Condition Assessments
Summary of Strategic and Policy Recommendations
- "Right-sizing" schools
- Larger schools, but fewer of them
- Reduction in square feet per student
- Reduction in per-square-foot operating and maintenance costs
- Change from original six-phase plan with one funded phase and five unfunded to three phases with two funded and one unfunded
Public input by speakers at the meeting
- Opposition to phasing out Walker
- Support for funding Behrman renovations
- Support for elementary school in Priestley-Johnson area
- Support for new Lawless High School
- Support for new Karr High School
- Need to fund new Phase 3
- Requests for greater clarity in report
