Dear Teachers,
Wow, it's hard to believe that we've nearly reached the end of another school year! I had a wonderful time interacting with you through Reading Is Cool and I hope to continue to build our relationship in the 2012-13 school year and hockey season.
Our final participation totals for this season were 985 classrooms and 25,000 students. Thank you for making this year's program our largest yet! Let's spread the word and try to hit the 1,000 classroom mark for the 2012-13 season!
To help the Sharks Foundation evaluate and improve Reading Is Cool, I have created a 20 question survey that can be accessed HERE. Based on last year's feedback, we added our monthly motivational YouTube videos, the plastic tumblers as a teacher gift and our first annual Teacher Appreciation Night. It is my goal to continuously evolve Reading Is Cool and it would be tremendously appreciated if you could take 5 to 10 minutes to complete the survey within the next two weeks. Participating teachers will be entered into a drawing for one of ten autographed San Jose Sharks photos!
Registration for the 2012-13 Reading Is Cool program will begin in September. A reminder email with all pertinent information will be sent to you shortly before sign-ups begin. As always, the first ten teachers to register will receive a special in-class visit from the one and only S.J. Sharkie.
