Dear Sharks Foundation Supporter,
If you're a hockey fan, this is the best time of year. 16 teams all battling for the Stanley Cup. There's no doubt that the Sharks have a difficult task ahead, drawing the St. Louis Blues in the first round. But they finished the season strong and are prepared for the challenge starting with Game 1 tonight.
This is also a great time of year for the Sharks Foundation as we just unveiled our "Sharks Pediatric Clinic" (our biggest project in a decade) and have a variety of fundraisers during the playoffs. Check out all the details below and continue to help us improve the lives of children & families in need.
Go Sharks!

Sharks Foundation Unveils Remodeled Pediatric Clinic
Going to the doctor isn't something that kids usually like to do, but maybe that'll change after their first visit to the "Sharks Pediatric Clinic" at Valley Health Center Tully. Recently, the Sharks Foundation-in partnership with the VMC Foundation-completed their biggest project in more than a decade, redesigning an existing pediatric clinic into a Sharks-themed environment.

"Shark for a Day" Fantasy Camp
Thirty-four lucky Sharks fans experienced a day-in-the-life of an NHL player by attending the Sharks Foundation's annual "Shark for a Day" Fantasy Camp fundraiser. Participants shared the ice with Sharks alumni, received a behind the scenes tour, met with GM Doug Wilson and Assistant Coach Jay Woodcroft, and watched the Sharks face off against the Phoenix Coyotes from the penthouse level. A thrilling Sharks win in the shootout capped off a unique and unforgettable day for the fantasy campers. Click here to see more pictures of the day's events. |
On March 22 and 24, Sharks Fans rallied together to raise nearly $10,000 for the Aubri Brown Club during the "Captain's Stick Auction." The Aubri Brown Club is a non-profit organization founded by former Shark Curtis Brown and his wife that provides support and services to families who have lost a young child. To learn more, visit http://www.theaubribrownclub.org/. Thank you for all your help in supporting this organization! |
As part of their monthly community service campaign, the "Lady Sharks" spent time with the residents at Los Gatos Meadows Geriatric Hospital. Each month, the Sharks Foundation asks one lady to choose a cause close to her heart to which Sharks Foundation staff and fellow wives and girlfriends can lend their time. The visit came as a pleasant surprise to the hospital residents, who enjoyed singing, games, manicures and conversing with the "Lady Sharks." |
