The playoffs. If you're a hockey fan, this is the best time of year. The Sharks finished their strong regular season and now are preparing to take on the Los Angeles Kings in a "Battle of California." 16 teams, all striving to achieve one ultimate goal: to win the coveted Stanley Cup.

While the Sharks continue to work towards this, the Sharks Foundation is also working tirelessly to achieve it's goal of helping youth and families in need. Our supporters have been tremendous this season and we hope that the giving continues during the playoffs.

Go Sharks!

UPCOMING EVENTS

Through the duration of the Sharks run in the playoffs, members of the team will be participating in the "Beard-A-Thon" fundraiser benefiting the Sharks Foundation. This year's "Beard-A-Thon" Co-Captain's Devin Setoguchi #16 and Logan Couture #39 will be having a contest to see who can raise the most money.

Fans can support the cause in three different ways: growing their own beard as they seek donations; pledging someone else who is growing a beard; or, by making a pledge to their favorite beard-growing Sharks player.
Have you always wondered about  Ryane Clowe's favorite late night snack? Or what Joe Pavelski's favorite local restaurant is? Here's a chance to get a glimpse into your favorite player's personal life.

During the first few home games of the 2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs, Sharks Wives and Girlfriends will host the Sharks Foundation's "Favorite Things" Basket Fundraiser.  Baskets will feature items that include autographed memorabilia, DVD's, music, books, snacks, gift certificates, video games and more!
During the first two home games of the first round of the 2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Sharks Foundation will be selling a limited number of "Playoff" themed Mystery Pucks. Be sure to arrive early as these pucks are expected to sell within minutes of doors opening.
