Dear Alumni, We are saddened to inform you of the recent passing of Ms. Monique F. Childs on June 26, 2011, Memorial Services will be held at Promise Land Church, 401 Van Buren St. NW, on Saturday July 23, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Monique was the daughter of Mae Francis Sims Childs and the late Robert R. Childs, Jr.; sister of Marlena A. Childs, Myra N. Childs and step-brother, Robert J. Dyson. She also leaves one niece, Makaia A. Childs and one nephew, Aric H. Childs. During her career, she was employed at the following organizations, NIH, CIA, Borders Books and American University. Memorial contributions may be made to Washington Hospital Center Breast Health Center.
