Two Chiefs' Award Given to
West Virginia Forest Stewardship Partnership
Chief's Award

MORGANTOWN, W.Va.-Robert Lueckel, field representative of the NA S&PF unit in Morgantown

presented the USDA Two Chiefs' Partnership Award to West Virginia State Forester Randy Dye, USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service State Forester Barbara McWhorter, and retired Monongahela National Forest Silviculturist Glen Juergens. The award recognized the partnership for its teamwork in protecting and managing West Virginia forest resources. The partnership played a critical role in managing vegetation and soil on State and private lands, and provided assistance to the Monongahela National Forest. Award winners were selected by the Chiefs of the USDA Forest Service and USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service earlier this year. Read More
NA S&PF Employees Share Chief's Award for Conserving Open Space

WASHINGTON-Forest Legacy Program Manager Deirdre Raimo and Forester Neal Bungard, both in the Durham Field Office, are part of the 10-person national team honored by Chief Tidwell for their "exemplary accomplishments in protecting private forest lands through the Forest Legacy Program."  The awards ceremony will be held on Monday, December 5, 2011, from 3:00 to 5:30 pm on the patio of the Jamie L. Whitten Building at Twelfth Street and Jefferson Drive, Southwest, in Washington, DC.

Write in Plain Language-It's the Law!

NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pa.-The upcoming holiday season and the end of the calendar year provide you an opportunity to reduce energy consumption in the office. Before you leave for the holidays or to use up your leave, remember to power down your computer, printer, monitor, and other peripherals. You can reduce your energy consumption, costs, and carbon footprint.
