MM&I Header

July 23, 2012 -  Are things or situations that are out of your control weighing you down and paralyzing your ability to move forward?  If you are allowing what you cannot control get the best of you, it is time to shift to focusing on what you can control and can do. No matter how dire the situation is, or how frustrating it is, there is always something you can do. By focusing on what you can do, you may very well uncover a solution that will help you gain more control on other areas.

Take an MM&I Moment to make a list of what you do have control of in your life. List anything and everything regardless of whether it is related to your "out of control" situation. What you will find is that you do have control of many things, the first being how you view, react and accept what is beyond your control. Look at your list and take action on any one item that will best help you move even the slightest step forward in spite of the current challenge or obstacle you are coping with right now. Momentum of any kind always helps you be in a better place mentally and emotionally to handle challenges. Then before you know it, you will know exactly what needs to be done.

Synergized Quote of the Week

"Control is never achieved when sought directly. It is the surprising outcome of letting go."  - James Arthur Ray

Savvy Secret Tip of the Week

Is your company operating on a national or international level in the customers you serve, so you think local publicity is not a necessary or worthwhile investment? Think again ... especially if your business is located in a metropolitan area that is high growth, high profile, or a corporate headquarters base for many high profile companies. Growth companies understand the power of taking advantage of opportunities in their own back yard to shine in the PR spotlight. Not only will it set you apart from competition that most likely are not doing it, it will enhance your Internet presence as local exposures go virtual as well as increase the likelihood of national exposure as a result of being a found commodity in the news on the Internet, even if it is "just local." Don't underestimate the power of Public Relations. 95% of growth companies receiving PR mentions and exposure on a regular basis were regularly sending news releases and considered it an integral part of the way they take their company to market.
